Polymer clay is a versatile artist medium made from PVC and plasticizers. It is non-toxic and lightweight, making it perfect for accessories. It was invented in Germany in the 1930’s by a doll maker who needed alternative materials for her dolls. In the 1990’s it began to be manufactured in the USA and is now available in a rainbow of colors and finishes.

This list is always expanding! I use mica powders, metal foils, alcohol inks, and paint to create the various effects you see here for sale. I use metal beads, glass beads, and Swarovski crystals to accent my work. Visit the portfolio page to see even more designs!
What metals does Elsewhere Farm Handmade use to create jewelry?
The bulk of the findings I use are silver-plated or gold-plated brass. The wire is silver-plated or gold-plated copper. I offer stud earrings that are made with surgical steel. Upgrading to nickel-free findings or sterling silver/14k gold is possible. I do my best to specify materials item by item, please reach out on the contact us page with any questions or upgrade requests.
